Today we went on a sketching expedition on the Dorset coast. This seemed a good idea, but the good weather we’ve been having brought out the crowds, today’s main annoyance was people allowing their dogs to steal our gear. I ended up having to run after a Labrador which had taken a fancy to an expensive pair of binoculars. I caught up with the dog and it’s owners later, and they said that they had to stop the animal from throwing itself off a cliff. We kept ourselves to quick sketches, moving on when we got too much attention.
We walked for over 10 miles, and finished up in a pub with a glass of their own locally produced cider. I now have the job of working my sketches up into finished pieces.
